Once we arrived at the base of the glacier we could feel a strong power, the power of nature. The water flowed below the glacier and in front of us. It created a torrent we fol- lowed, along with a deafening din. Suddenly, someone noticed some rocks rolling down the peak. One minute later a strong rain storm surprised and submerged us. We understood that we needed to go down the mountain as fast as possible.I spent the two next days walking, visiting the village by day and partying at night with the georgians from the hostel. Then I decide to go alone into the mountains for a couple of days. One morning, equipped with a pan, a bottle of water, a map, a compass, my sleep- ing bag and a hammock, I left for five days in the mountains alone. I didn’t know if it was a good or a bad idea. I spent the first day in the calm of nature with amazing landscapes. That evening I built my camp, hung my ham- mock between two trees, made the fire and cooked diner. I fell asleep at night fall.21
