77I look at my family’s journey and it’s like time traveling. It definitely peaks my curiosity and gives me a lot of imaginative thoughts, in terms of who they were, and what they went through to get to wherever they were going.In their letters it was very interesting to hear them talk about the civil rights movement in the U.S. and the problems in the Middle East. A woman in Israel wrote about the great General Grinker who served on the russian front and saved someone who was dying. I Googled this story and in the article the great General Grinker was not a general, he was an infantry soldier. He helped on the russian front, but he was just an ordinary soldier. The whole idea of family history and made up history is very interesting, because who’s history is the true history? Nobody really knows.
