The next morning as I got back to the village, the children all came to meet me and took me to a small private waterfall. Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me as I just wanted to experience them without the need to film them.Having spent a number of days with the villagers, the simple life and pleasure they enjoy are all hidden, or forgotten, in the metropolis that is Istanbul. The villagers may not have the modern lifestyle that many city dwellers have, but they are comfortable and live well with few complaints. The hardships they must experience in winter, surviving on the food they’ve grown and stored, fetching wood to keep themselves warm and baking their own bread, is another story I hope to be able to bring you.30
