For me, Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar is an especially great experience because I am a very passionate photographer, who loves detail and color. My husband and I own a restaurant, so for us the Grand Bazaar is like stepping into food paradise. It is packed with shops and vendors that call out for you to sample their sweets. The endless displays of colorful candies are an absolute delight to look at and taste. Even if you have not asked to taste something, the vendors will just give it to you anyway. As I was photographing almost every food stand, people became very curious and began to crowd around me because they thought I must be a very famous photographer. Turkish delights and flattery, how sweet it is!
